Try and do what you love with people you love, and if you can manage that, it’s the definition of heaven on Earth, I swear to God. —Conan O’Brien
Entertainment has always been a large part of my life. Growing up, I’d hear stories about how my grandparents and great-grandparents would perform live music from opera houses to smoky bars, and I’d always dream of being a part of that world. Those stories shaped my passion for the industry and inspired me to pursue a career where I could contribute both creatively and strategically. Today, as a Communications and New Media professional, I focus on marketing live experiences and entertainment by combining creative storytelling with digital media strategy.
My experience with media began when I was 14 years old. I had an interest in video production, and after taking online video editing courses I fell in love with the creative process. What began as an independent production soon involved my friends as well, and we began making comedy sketches together. By the time I was 16, some of my videos became viral, giving me an early glimpse into how content spreads and connects with audiences.
Over the past decade, I have continued to develop both the creative and strategic sides of media. As a musician and comedian, I have created and performed within live entertainment environments, developing an intimate understanding of audience engagement, timing, and performance dynamics. These experiences have shaped the way I approach marketing as not just promotion, but as part of the overall entertainment experience.
I also gained international marketing experience through an internship with a Japanese tourism company, where I contributed to English-language social media marketing for an international audience. Working within a cross-cultural team environment and managing content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube strengthened my understanding of global audiences and digital communication strategy. Researching, marketing, and living in a lesser-known area of Japan also made for an invaluable local-to-global experience.
Across my work in media production, performance, and marketing, my goal has remained consistent: to create and promote experiences that resonate with audiences. My background as a marketer, comedian, and musician allows me to approach entertainment marketing from both the creator’s and the audience’s perspective.
Moving forward, I hope to build a career in the entertainment industry where I can contribute to the development and promotion of live experiences. I am particularly interested in roles that combine digital media strategy with live performance and events, helping artists and productions connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
